Eddie Jennings

Eddie Jennings received his Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1981
from Jacksonville State University (in Jacksonville, Alabama
USA). At JSU, he studied applied saxophone with Dr. Ronald
Attinger. Dr. Attinger instilled in him the beauty to be found in
classical saxophone performance. At JSU he became an avid
arranger for saxophone ensembles, from trios up to large
saxophone choirs. He arranged much of the music performed
by the university saxophone choir while at JSU.
Concurrently with his music degree, he received a Bachelor of
Science in Mathematics (with a minor in Computer Science) at
Jacksonville State University and in 1983 received a Master of
Arts in Mathematics from the University of Alabama in
Huntsville. He chose a career in the software industry and is
currently Vice President of Software Engineering at NetQoS in
Austin, Texas. Past positions were with SensAble
Technologies, Eastman Kodak Company, Intergraph
Corporation, and Teledyne Brown Engineering.
Throughout his career, he has continued to perform on the
saxophone and to arrange music for various sized saxophone
ensembles. He currently performs with the Austin Symphonic
Band (www.asband.org) and with saxophone trios and quartets.
