João Victor Bota

João Victor Bota was born in Brazil 1981. He began his musical studies in 1992 and debuted as a composer and orchestrator one year later. Mr Bota has been acclaimed by his peers as a great and promising talent. Mr Bota studied piano at, Carlos Gomes Musical Conservatorie of Campinas in 2000 and graduated with distinction, as an outstanding chamber pianist.

In 2000, Mr Bota started his composition and violin graduation at Campinas University (UNICAMP) receiving lessons of violin and viola with Moacyr del Pichia and composition in university studies with Denise Garcia, José Augusto Mannis and Silvio Ferraz. Mr Bota also studied counterpoint, orchestration, composition and harmony, with composers, Achille Picchi, Edson Zampronha and Osvaldo Lacerda. Mr Bota works in various genres of composition and has been commissioned to write works for Orchestras, Chamber Ensembles, Wind Bands and solo music.
